DROBE Agency Apps

Equity Calculator.

  • /No new spreadsheet for every deal
  • //The cap table worked out as you type
  • ///Dilution you can show in a meeting

The experience behind it is Kim Balle’s, DROBE’s founder: raising money as a founder, then years as CEO of Global Startup Awards, talking with founders in 156 countries. Global Startup Awards is not part of DROBE.

A deal you can play with before you sign it. A browser tool that turns an investor’s proposal into a cap table, dilution and founder value as you type, with every scenario saved and exported. DROBE built it and shares it with founders and partners.

The problem.

What does this offer do to the cap table, and what would a different valuation or a smaller cheque do instead?

  • The job. Kim Balle, DROBE’s founder, has raised money as a founder. As CEO of Global Startup Awards until August 2026, an organisation separate from DROBE that covered 156 countries by then, Kim talked with hundreds, if not thousands, of founders from all continents. Their first big challenge was how to make the first deal with investors. One question kept coming: what does this proposal mean for me?
  • The cost. Every answer meant a spreadsheet built for that one deal, redone for every new number, and a founder who still could not see it.

Why we built it ourselves.

Kim Balle has sat on both sides of the term sheet.

  • What we tried first. Spreadsheets, templates and the calculators that exist. Each does one scenario at a time, and none made it easy to play with the numbers in front of an investor.
  • Kim knows the conversation. Years at Global Startup Awards, with founders in 156 countries asking the same thing, taught our founder what they need to see: dilution and value moving with the valuation, in the meeting, not after it.
  • Two ways to ask. Sometimes you know the valuation; sometimes you know what the investor wants to own. The tool had to answer both.

What it does.

Four steps, and every change recalculates as you type.

1. Set the scenario

By valuation or by target. By valuation when you know the pre money; by investor target when you know the stake they want. The tool works out the rest and says in one line what the cheque buys.

2. Who owns it today

The table before the round. Founders, option pool, angels, an accelerator, in percent, adding up to 100. An existing owner can be the one investing.

3. See the round

Every stake, before and after. Post money, the distribution after the round and, for every holder, the new stake, the points lost or gained and what the stake is now worth.

The round
Every holder

4. Keep every version

Save, compare, export. Save a scenario to the log, reload it with one click, compare the versions side by side, and export any of them as a cap table in CSV or a report in PDF.

The log

What one page covers.

2
ways to set a deal: by valuation, by investor target
2
currencies, euro and dollar, switched with one click
2
exports, a cap table as CSV and a report as PDF
50
scenarios kept in the log, on your own machine

What it will not do.

Nothing leaves the page.

  • Never sends your numbers anywhere. It runs in the browser, and the log is stored on your own machine. There is no account and no server.
  • Never pretends to be advice. It shows the arithmetic of one proposal. What to accept is still your call, and your lawyer’s.
  • Never hides a number. Every stake, every point of dilution and every value is on the screen, and in the export.

Who has it.

Built for the founders we talk to.

  • In our own work. When a founder asks what an offer means, this is what we open.
  • Shared with founders and partners. It runs in any browser, a phone included, so it travels to the meeting.
  • Not public yet. There is no link to hand out. If you are weighing an offer, write us.
