DROBE Agency Apps
Synchronization App.
- /Podcast builder
- //Interviews builder
- ///Editor’s cut
The boring part is gone. Built to save agencies many hours of work. You do not need to open any video editing software until the very end, for the last fine tuning.
The problem.
Why we built it ourselves.
We do not open a video editor until the last phase.
- What we tried first. The video editors’ own sync, PluralEyes, everything. All of them still start with someone opening an editor.
- The editor comes last. A video editor joins only for the fine tuning, when the operational work is already done.
- Any software, any partner. Clients have their preferences and we onboard external people on projects. One XML file opens in what they use.
From folder to first cut, and back.
Three features, one round. The app does the steps in orange, and nobody needs a video editor before the last one.
- The production dayCameras and mics, all in one folder.
- Podcast or interviews builderThe sync, the edit, the subtitles and one XML file.
- Out for feedbackTo a client who gives notes, an editor who cuts it down, or another AI.
- The cut comes backAs a video file or as an SRT.
- Editor’s cutThe same cut rebuilt on your original edit, every angle still live.
- The last fine tuningIn any video editor, and only now.
Feature one
Podcast builder.
Receive the files from the production day, run them through the app and get a multicam XML file for any video editor, with subtitles.
Sync by sound
To the frame, by listening. Name the files after the people on them and choose the folder. Each file gets its offset, how sure the app is and its drift. Timecode is the backup.
Who is this?
Hear a mic, click the face. The app plays a moment where one mic alone is loud, and you click the camera that shows that person. A file name is only ever a guess, until you confirm it.
The camera follows the talk
A rough cut by speaker. Choose a multicam clip, a timeline, or an edit where the camera changes to whoever is speaking. Every mic plays together, so no cut is audible and reactions stay in.
One file for any video editor
Every angle on the same moment. Import the XML and the angles land named and in sync, with subtitles alongside and a name on every line of the SRT. Send it on to a client, an editor or another AI.
Feature two
Interviews builder.
Batch import interviews, get them transcribed and receive an XML file for any video editor, with subtitles in Danish or English.
A name on every line
See who it is. Camera files have names like C2614, so each one shows a picture from its video, and you can ask for another. You type the person’s name under it.
The name goes on the subtitles. Every line carries it, or the name of the video if you leave it empty. You get the same subtitles without names too.
A folder in, a file per interview
Nothing is joined. Each video is transcribed on its own and gets its own XML file and subtitles, named after the video.
Sound finds its video. A separate sound file is paired by listening, not by its name. One that matches nothing is listed and left out.
Feature three
Editor’s cut.
When you have shared a video with the editor responsible for the storyline, receive the cut as a video file or an SRT file. The app rebuilds the podcast or interview cut you already made, again with no need to enter any video editor.
The cut comes back
A video or an SRT. A video is listened to, and the sound sharpens every cut point. An SRT is read instead, which is faster, and places the parts within a word or so.
Every angle still live
Every part found. The app finds the episode by itself and places each part by its words, even when parts were shortened or moved. The new XML keeps the camera cuts, and the subtitles move along.
Nothing hidden. A part the audio could not confirm is marked, and stretches with no matching words are reported.
What one app covers.
What it will not do.
A wrong sync is never silent.
- Never touches your media. Nothing is moved, edited or re encoded, and nothing is overwritten. The work happens on your Mac; only the optional subtitle cleanup goes online, and only as text.
- Never guesses in silence. If a sync is unsure, the file goes to review, and review blocks the export until you have looked.
- Never hides a break. Drift is reported, not corrected. A recording that was stopped and restarted is placed in parts, each one in sync.
Who has it.
Built in our own agency, shared with partners.
- In our own work. We built it for the podcasts and interviews we produce, and we use it ourselves.
- With partners. Clients and external editors get one file that opens in the software they prefer.
- Not public yet. It is not for download. If the problem sounds like yours, write us.
